This is going to be an incredible dinner, pairing Pinot Noir with 'fusion'
(contemporary Asian) cuisine prepared by Chef Royce Mori. We know what a
transporting experience it is because we had the opportunity to taste test the
pairings with Chef Royce - and his artful preparations brought out flavors in
our wines that we had not experienced before! His cuisine paired with our
wines create a synergy that surpasses the individual element. Who knew that
Pinot Noir could pair so well with Asian food? It does when Chef Mori works

We invite you to a vineyard open house at Muns
Vineyard. Space is limited to 24 people per date. We will serve food and
wine, give you a tour of the vineyard and talk about what it takes to grow
premium winegrapes.
We will actually be in the vineyard, so be sure to wear appropriate shoes,
hat and sunscreen. We are located above Summit Road, near the Old San
Jose-Soquel Road, between Los Gatos and Soquel (about 30 minutes from either
town). Loma Prieta Avenue up to the vineyard is a beautiful drive through
the pear orchards and with dramatic views across Monterey Bay, and it is
narrow and steep. We recommend carpooling and a designated driver.
The cost is $10 (waived with purchase); free for wine club members.

Mary will be pouring at this one - it is a benefit for the
Walnut Avenue Women's Center in Santa Cruz. A
silent auction will

women and families, ranging from help for victims of domestic violence to
breast cancer support to literacy to early childhood education.

Mary is working with the History Museum to mount an exhibit on the history of
the wine industry in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Clara Valley. The
Museum is previewing the exhibit and is a stop on the Vintners Festival map
for this weekend. Muns Vineyard will be there and pouring our wine in support

About the 2007, the Prince says, "A consistent
Muns Vineyard style is beginning to evolve with this wine which shows
similarities in structure and character to the 2006 vintage. This wine
exhibits admirable complexity with nicely spiced red and black fruits, herbs,
forest floor and mocha. There are still tannins to shed, but these are ripe
and fine and will integrate nicely with a little more bottle age. The acidity
is spot on. This should prove to be a very stellar wine. (Note: this wine can
be purchased now at the futures price of $32 which makes it a good value)."

25 June - 27 August (Wednesdays,
6:30-8:30) Jazz On The Plazz in
Los Gatos. The Muns Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir has been selected as the
'official' Jazz Rosé for this free summer jazz concert series. You will be
able to find it under the Jazz On The Plazz private label exclusively at
Los Gatos Gourmet.
And look for it at restaurants around town.

2007
| 16-17 & 23-24 June -- Soquel Vineyards hosted a joint wine-tasting event
where their friends, family and customers joined ours and were treated to
Pinot Noirs from both labels. This was the first major public release
party for Muns Vineyard and was a resounding success! |

| 4-6 September 2007 -- 16 tons of Pinot Noir were harvested following a
late August heat wave. This resulted in higher Brix and more dehydration
than we would like, but these were balanced with adequate ripening of the
fruit. A small, low-lying, area of the vineyard ripened later, in early October when it
was picked and added to the the 2007
production. |
