Farming & Viticulture

East Hill, July 2004The vineyard is laid out in blocks of approximately 1-acre size, for a total planted area of about 13.5 acres.  Each block has its own irrigation valve.  A single combination of clone and root stock is planted in each block to facilitate differential timing of harvest by block and then blending during the winemaking process.
